WHAT IS THAI REFLEXOLOGY

image318

The ancient art of Thai reflexology offers a relaxing, and rejuvenating experience that heals the mind, body, and soul.

Thai Reflexology is essentially a blending of Massage and Reflexology.  It incorporates the use of oils unlike other forms of Reflexology.  It also uses a smooth wooden massage stick to effectively stimulate reflex points.

At Pure Energy Reiki and Reflexology, organic essential oils will be used to further enhance  your healing experience.

Thai Reflexology developed in a country that relied on an understanding of energy and how its status in the body defined wellness or dis-ease.

The nature of the human body is to seek homeostasis. Through a sequence of movements applied to the feet, lower legs and knees, Thai Reflexology works solely to assist the body to return to equilibrium

HOW THAI REFLEXOLOGY WORKS

image320

There are 7,200 sensory nerve endings in each foot, which are connected to the internal organs of the body.

Reflexology is based on the belief that there are zones and reflex areas in the feet which correspond to the systems of the body.

Thai Reflexology applies pressure to these reflexes and areas, working all the muscles and joints of the feet, lower legs  and knees, leaving you feeling like you are floating on air.

If you are feeling frazzled, stressed or anxious, reflexology creates an incredibly calming sense which allows you to deeply relax and unwind.

In a typical session, the lower legs and feet are stretched and massaged to open Sen (energy).

Specific pressure points, which stem from 10 major energy lines that run throughout the body, are stimulated. These pressure points provide a map of the entire body and organs.

Through skillful manipulation of the soles of the feet, legs and knees, Thai foot reflexology helps the body restore its own natural healthy balance.
